RBVE Promotes Steve Parrott to Assistant Director

RBVE is pleased to announce the promotion of Steve Parrott to Assistant Director – Veteran and Employment Services.

Steve joined RBVE in 2019 as Head of Welfare and moved across to Head of Lifeworks/MODVA in 2022, where he has played a central role in strengthening our employability support for veterans. His leadership has helped Lifeworks grow in reach, quality and impact, ensuring veterans and the wider armed forces community receive tailored guidance and practical pathways into sustainable employment.

Driving Veteran Employment and Skills

In his new role, Steve will oversee Veteran and Employability Services across Lifeworks and related programmes.

Steve will also lead the development of our new Social Enterprise Training School, creating routes into skills, confidence and employment for veterans.

Steve previously served in the Parachute Regiment, completing 25 years of service in key roles across multiple operational theatres. As a veteran himself, he brings a deep understanding of the challenges many veterans face when transitioning into civilian life. His lived experience informs his leadership and strengthens RBVE’s commitment to delivering support that is practical and shaped by real insight.

A key focus of Steve’s role will be deepening collaboration with partners and stakeholders to expand our reach and social value. His commitment to delivering sustainable employment solutions and holistic support for veterans is central to our mission. Jonathan Gillespie-Payne has been promoted to Lifeworks Operation Manager.
