Ex-Forces Career Advice
The Lifeworks programme equips veterans and serving Armed Forces family members with the tools they need to achieve a career outside the military. The course and assistance going forward are tailored to suit the career goals and aspirations of each individual into the future.
For Veterans
No matter the military affiliation, how long served, or current circumstances; whether you have served in the Navy, Army or RAF, we’re here to help you reach your career goals. Ex-servicemen and women are all eligible for help.
For Families Of Those Serving
We also offer training and advice to family members of those currently serving, providing courses at garrison locations and online. In doing so we’re able to target all corners of the United Kingdom and provide support with any employment challenges at any given time.
The Aim
Our aim is to ensure our attendees are given the tools needed to achieve an employment outcome that’s right for them; developing self-confidence, new skills and allowing participants to move forward with their career ambitions in a positive way. We aim to reduce the amount of unemployed ex-service men and women by giving them the support they need to find a job they’re confident in.
The Course
With no cost attached, our 4–5 day courses are held both across the country and virtually, ensuring our skills and expertise reach every corner of the UK. Lifeworks has a team of highly skilled support staff, assessors, and trainers with many years of experience in helping those with close links to the Armed Forces back into employment or training.
Forward Assist
After attending a course, the Lifeworks team are still here to support. We’ll be in contact at regular intervals and available to help in any way we can. Whether it’s an informal chat to learn about your progress, or if you need a hand with a job application, we remain on-hand to help.
How does it help?
The Lifeworks team understands the importance of finding employment or training for those leaving the Armed Forces, allowing veterans to utilise their hard earned skills acquired whilst serving in the military. The Lifeworks programme makes use of the relationships we have with other organisations to ensure those in need reach their goals.
